BUCKTOWN

East of Logan Square and north of Wicker Park, Bucktown makes up the triangle bound by Western Avenue to the west, the Chicago River North Branch to the east, and The 606 (AKA the Bloomingdale Trail) to the south. It is here you’ll find some of the city’s hippest venues for dining, drinking, shopping, arts and entertainment.

Bucktown feels like a hive that is always buzzing with fun and excitement. During the day, stroll down Damen Avenue to experience the friendly neighborhood vibe, try out global and gourmet food, and discover the plethora of unique shops and boutiques; you’ll find everything from high-end designer storefronts to quirky small businesses. Enjoy biking, running or walking along the one-of-a-kind 606 Trail, an elevated rail track turned into a floating park with greenery, stunning views, and public artwork. When the sun sets, head over to the intersection of Armitage and Milwaukee for dining, concerts, and nightlife.

Bucktown real estate ranges from moderately-priced condos to luxurious single-family homes, but is perhaps relatively more affordable than nearby Lincoln Park. With its historic brick homes and sleek glassy condos, Bucktown is a neighborhood people are proud to call home. Despite its reputation as a trendy hotspot, some residents have lived here for generations, and we can certainly see why.
